Let’s Talk Boobs

Ok mum, let’s just get straight to it, you will by now have seen the effects of all those pregnancy hormones and if you weren’t naturally blessed with big boobs, you certainly will have seen them grow over the last few weeks. Believe it or not but your puppies are getting ready to feed your baby even at this early stage and you will most likely be experiencing tender and some even feel tingling sensations, don’t worry this is completely normal. Looking in the mirror you may notice your nipples are darkening, getting bigger and may start protruding more (think Madonna in the early days), ready for when baby feeds. Your areolas (nipples) will likely continue to darken and get bigger throughout your pregnancy and will remain until after your baby is born and you stop breastfeeding, if that is what you decide to do, and your hormones return to their normal state. But for now, it is recommended to drop the wired bras and if you have outgrown your current bras, it may be worth getting measured so you are comfortable. Some mums start wearing maternity bras early on in their pregnancy as they find them more comfortable while others wait until their second or third trimester – do what feels right for you mum
