This week your baby will weigh more than your placenta for the first time and will remain that way until you give birth in less than 4 months' time!!! Baby Baby is really moving around inside your womb now and you will probably be feeling these movements regularly.
They will also start to establish waking and sleeping patterns, these unfortunately don’t always match your own and you may find baby becomes more active as you go to sleep.
Your baby is now around 26.7cm from head to heel and is approx. The size of a litre bottle of Milton, something you may start using quite a bit in a few months' time! Mum Do you find yourself falling over a bit more than normal mum?
As your bump expands your centre of gravity changes and so you may find yourself a little clumsier than normal.
Try not to worry if you do take a tumble as baby is well protected inside, but it may be worth mentioning to your midwife if you fall directly on your bump. You may also be feeling a little hungrier than usual, try choosing healthy snack options which will not only give you energy but also top up your body’s nutrients.
Also, worth a mention – don't forget to keep up with your pelvic floor exercises 😉.
