You know how you’ve been talking and singing to baby, well from this week there is a chance they can actually hear you!
It may at first be more muffled and if you’ve been suffering from a little indigestion then these are most likely what they will hear initially, but soon they will be able to hear your sweet tones which they will recognise when on the outside. Baby Baby is busy this week and not only can they hear but they can also start to recognise bright light too, even though their eyes are still firmly shut. Their eyelashes and eyebrows will also be starting to grow about now and while on the subject of hair, baby will also be growing soft, fine hair all over their body which is called ‘lanugo’, but don’t worry this is usually gone when they are born or very soon after. Mum Are you experiencing some sharp jabbing pains in the side of your bump?
No this isn’t baby but your ligaments stretching making room for your growing wombmate, putting your feet up and resting should help ease the pain.
You may also be experiencing itchy skin, which is usually caused by, yes you guessed it, hormones.
Try using a fragrance-free moisturiser and drink plenty of water, if it becomes unbearable then do let your midwife or GP know. Also keep an eye on your knickers as yes you are still probably experiencing more discharge than pre pregnancy, again if it smells or is coloured then check with your midwife as you may have an infection.
