Their eyes are larger and even have a little colour in them.
They have a little mouth, tongue and even teeny tiny taste buds, but they can’t quite taste what you are eating just yet. Their hands and feet are continuing to develop and have ridges where their fingers and toes will be, but at the moment these are still webbed.

Your body has been busy making lots of the pregnancy hormone hCG and this has been doubling every 2 – 3 days and this week it is at its peak.
As a result, it may make you feel pretty rubbish, but this hormone is doing an important job as it is keeping baby exactly where they need to be, so take some comfort in that. Your body is also producing lots of oestrogen and progesterone which increases the amount of blood going to your womb, but this hormone cocktail can have some turbulent effects on your emotions.
Be kind to yourself, you are making a human after all, have plenty of rest and accept any help on offer, it will get better as you enter the 2nd trimester.
