Hey mum you’ve made it to the 2-month stage, which means only 7 more to go!
Over the past few weeks your body has been going through some massive changes, but most people won’t know as it’s all going on inside and you probably won’t be able to see your cute little baby bump just yet. Baby At 8 weeks baby is now official a fetus and is the size of a raspberry at 1.6cm, head to bottom.
Baby’s growth at this stage is quick as they have grown by over 50% in the last week.
Their arms are getting longer as the upper part of your baby is growing at a faster rate than the lower, although their little legs are also growing but it’ll be a little while until their knees, thighs and toes develop. Your placenta continues to develop so your baby is still getting all its nutrients from the yolk sac as they are still inside the amniotic sac.
Over the next few weeks your placenta will be ready and take over feeding your baby. Mum How are you feeling?
